About Courtney Hogenson, RN, CMC, ALNC

Registered Nurse, Care Manager, and Trusted Family Advisor

Every family eventually faces a moment when healthcare stops being simple, a hospitalization, a diagnosis, a decline no one was prepared for. In those moments, families don't need more information. They need someone who has been there before, understands the healthcare system, and will guide them with experience and compassion.

That is the work I've built my career around.

Clinical Foundation

My career began at UCLA in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit and ICU Resource Team, caring for critically ill patients in situations that demanded precision, coordination, and sound clinical judgment under pressure. It taught me how to navigate complex medical situations, coordinate care across teams, and communicate with families during some of life's most challenging moments.

That experience continues to guide my work today, helping families navigate complex situations with confidence and clarity.

Private Care Expertise

Healthcare Leadership

Following my clinical work, I founded and led several successful healthcare organizations specializing in private duty nursing, home care, and care management. Each was built to provide personalized, private pay care focused on quality, responsiveness, and compassion.

Building and leading these organizations gave me a deep understanding of how exceptional care is delivered. Today, I bring that experience to every family I serve, combining clinical expertise with practical knowledge of the healthcare system.

From the bedside to care coordination and healthcare leadership, I've seen how the best outcomes happen when every detail is thoughtfully managed.

A Commitment to Professional Excellence

As an Advanced Professional Member of the Aging Life Care Association®, I adhere to nationally recognized standards of ethics, professional practice, and continuing education. This reflects my commitment to providing experienced, personalized care for every family I serve.

I also serve as a Public Policy Ambassador for the Alzheimer's Association, advocating for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease while collaborating with physicians, attorneys, fiduciaries, and other healthcare professionals to support each client's unique needs.

How I Work

Philosophy

Clarity in complexity.
Compassion in every interaction.
Discretion in every detail.

I intentionally work with a limited number of families so each client receives the time, attention, and continuity they deserve.

My role is to bring clarity to complex situations, coordinate care, and help families make informed decisions with confidence. I work closely with physicians, specialists, caregivers, attorneys, and family members to ensure everyone is informed and working toward the same goals.

Whether navigating an urgent situation or planning for the future, I provide experienced guidance, thoughtful communication, and trusted support every step of the way.

A Personal Note

Outside of my work, I value time with family, being outdoors, and traveling. I enjoy hiking throughout California, the Hawaiian Islands, and Sedona, and I have a deep appreciation for nature, especially when a Painted Bunting visits my bird feeder.

I believe the best care begins with listening. I'm naturally drawn to solving complex problems with compassion and creating meaningful solutions that help families feel informed, supported, and confident.
